Make an individual donation No effort is too small to be of help. We ask that smaller pajama donations be brought to our offices in downtown Des Moines. Please call ahead to coordinate the time and place. We are also needing cash donations to cover costs of packaging, supplies, infrastructure and transportation. We have no paid staff, so your donation goes to work directly supporting the mission. We are a Federally registered 501(c)3, and all donations are tax-deductible.
Organize a Pajama Party Hold a drive among your circle of friends, your office, your church or any other group. Call us before you do, we can supply you with tags, ribbons, boxes and other supplies. We also have some great event ideas to help make it a success. Just one great party can supply a shelter for months.
Sort and tag pajamas From time to time, Helen's Pajama Party holds organized sorting and tagging events. Call us to find out when the next one is. At any given moment, we typically have a few hundred PJ's in need of folding, tagging and sorting. Check our Events page for more information.
Deliver PJs Getting hundreds of pajamas delivered around the state is no small task. Do you make frequent trips from Des Moines to a city with a domestic violence shelter? (See Resources for a list of Iowa shelters) Call us to see if there's a delivery awaiting transport.
