More than a million women a year are victims of domestic abuse in the United States. Almost all who seek refuge at domestic violence shelters arrive with just the clothes on their backs. Helen’s Pajama Party is a non-profit organization that collects new pajamas to give to shelters. The goal is to have a pair of new pajamas waiting for every woman who enters a shelter. You can help us by donating new pajamas with the tags left on.

Helen's Pajama Party will hold its annual pajama party to sort, tag and pack pajamas for Iowa's domestic violence shelters.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 22 at 6:30 to 9:30 PM
WHERE: Hotel Fort Des Moines
COST: $8 for adults, $4 for 18 to 6 year-olds, ages 5 and under free
DETAILS: There will be snacks and pizza, music, makeovers, manicures and drawings for gifts throughout the evening. Attendees get to put their name in for the drawings once for every pair of new pajamas they donate, so for example, donate three pairs, put your name in three times
